CBP to Update Doc Requirements on Chinese Goods

U.S. Customs will deploy the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA) Region Alert on a date to be determined in an effort to strengthen prohibition of the import of goods made with forced labor.

This enhancement to existing law will provide early notification to importers in cases where restrictions per H.R. 6256 may apply, which restricts importation of goods produced in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (XUAR). Importers of Chinese goods are encouraged to urge their suppliers to include accurate postal codes on commercial invoices for imports.

Visit the UFLPA Frequently Asked Questions page for more info.
